Gold Mining
1. After researching the history of gold mining in Colorado, create a list of the pros and cons for being a miner.

2. You are living on the east coast and you want to head west in search of gold, but you need help. Write a short article that will be printed in the local newspaper "advertising" for some one to accompany you.

3. Create a complete packing list of what you would need to take with you on a trip west.

4. Locate and research a famous miner. Write a biography of their life.
