  1. Cause & Effect Chart - You are going to download the Cause & Effect worksheet. You will be completing this worksheet over the course of the entire book. You will be reminded each unit about this assignment. After downloading and printing, fill in any information you can. Download your Cause & Effect Chart HERE.

    2. Character Maps - You are going to download the Character Map, and print 6, three for each main character. The purpose of the Character Map is to document the events that show change taking place in a character throughout the book. You will be completing this worksheet over the course of the entire book, and will be reminded about it each unit. After downloading and printing your maps, fill in any information you can on all of them and staple them together. Download your Character Maps HERE.

    3. Colorado Map - You are going to download the blank map of Colorado and print one copy. The purpose of the Colorado Map is to document the places that are mentioned in the book. You will need to use an actual map of Colorado to help you with the assignment. You will be completing this map over the course of the entire book, and will be reminded about it each unit. After downloading and printing your map, fill in any information you can. Download your Colorado Map HERE.

    4. Chapter Titles - When you get into the book, you will quickly notice that none of the chapters have a title. They only have a number. Mr. Hobbs, the author of Bearstone, had a great idea for students reading the book. After you have read a chapter, give that chapter a title. The title you decide on should reflect the main idea of the chapter. You will be recording your chapter titles on a specific piece of paper. You will need to download the "Chapter Titles" page and print one copy. You will be completing this page over the course of the entire book, and will be reminded about it each unit. After downloading and printing your page, fill in any information you can. Download your Chapter Titles page HERE.
These assignments may be done while you are reading, or right after you have finished your reading for each unit.
