Step 2

Now that you have your recording sheets, you are ready to read! From the links below, click on the name of the fairy tale your group is going to read.

When everyone is set, the Reader will begin reading. If needed, you can stop the reader if you get behind with your recording.

You may want to make sure that at least one group has chosen each fairy tale. This way the class can get a better idea about them all.

All of the web sites on this page open into a new browser window. It will be important to let students know this. This will allow students to simply close that web site when they have finished using it, and they will still have the WebQuest in an open browser window.

Be sure that students understand it is okay for them to stop the Reader. It is vital that all of the needed information get recorded.

Also let the students know that these versions of the fairy tales may be a little different from what they have heard.

You may also want to consider having a hard copy of the fairy tale from online. Simply highlight the text you want, select "copy," and the "paste" the text into a word processing document.
